Australian Commercial Resources Pty Ltd T/A ACR International Travel & Tours (ACR) was formed in 2002 by Arnold D' Souza, Managing Director with over 34 years’ experience in the travel industry starting in India, Mumbai in 1979 there after the Middle East including major International Airlines Qantas, British Airways General Sales Agent as well as in areas of corporate travel, consolidation and business development for wholesale travel packaging.
Arnold D' Souza, along with his colleagues and staff, working as a team, has been instrumental in the last twenty years with the set-up of successful travel agency operations in Sydney and in 1999 was nominated by his peers for the AFTA Excellence Award for best CBD corporate travel agent. My time here in Sydney, Australia since 1987 has given a vast experience and knowledge of the local travel and general market sphere.
ACR has expanded in the last few years from solely a retail travel office into diversified travel related business operations targeting and join in with the new age technology era. We operate a thriving corporate division handling mining, constructions and various multi-national and Australia companies. In 2005 ACR launched a division under the banner of Spice Trails a solely India destination website site (www.spicetrails.com.au). In 2012 we went ahead with our plans with in-bound tours into Australia from India under our web portal (www.Australiagetaway.com.au)
ACR arranges travel for companies incorporating a whole range of services to accommodate the corporate traveler. We strive to develop a strong presence by offering a comprehensive and competitive travel service that is professional, prompt and courteous. We aim to adhere to a business ethic that makes all associated with ACR confident and proud to be our customers.
I have been associated with local Australian and India based companies and work closely with the Indian foreign missions/consulates based in Sydney.
I was the Founding Member and Co-Chair 2012-13 of Australia India Travel & Tourism Council (AITTC).
2006-2008- Executive Board Member of Australia India Business Council, Sydney (AIBC). Headed AIBC Travel Chapter 2008-2010.
2002-2006- Executive Board Member of Australia India Chamber of Commerce, Sydney (AICC) (AICC merged with AIBC 2006)
My experience and business connections in both, Australia and India, give me the position and advantage to pursue business relationships between the two countries’ current growing economies.
